GREETINGS BOOK LOVERS!

We met last Thursday  night at Geri Christensen's home and discussed some wonderful books--some new and some from previous meetings that were read, loved and suggested to the group.  Here is the list of books that were presented:

BETH HEDENGREN:

HANNAH COULTER by Wendell Berry
Prose written as poetry. Beauty story of a woman’s life and how she dealt with family life and problems.

SARA TRIVEDI:

THE CHRISTMAS BLESSING  by Donna Van Liere

A nice Christmas story about a medical student who isn’t sure he wants to become a doctor.

THE WINTER PEOPLE by Jennifer McMahon

A mystery that takes place in 1908 and modern times in Vermont. Two different families living in the same farmhouse. It has all kinds of intrigue, murders and Native-American mystique.

THE QUARTET: The Story of the Four Framers of the Constitution
By Joseph Ellis

LANI PACKARD:

LITTLE MEN by Louisa May Allcott

About Jo and her husband who run a school for children.

TIME OF FOG AND FIRE by Rhys Bowen

A Molly Murphy mystery. Historical fiction.

THE BROKEN GUN by Louis L’Amour. Very suspenseful and enjoyable.

WITCHES OF EAST END, THE SERPENT’S KISS AND WINDS OF SALEM by
Incorporates a lot of Norse mythology.

MARYANN STEVENS:

HOUSE GIRL by Tara Conklin Book goes between Mid-town Manhattan and a slave’s life in the South. A very good book.

KATHARINE PONZOCH:

HOUSEKEEPING: A novel by Marilynne Robison
