We had a wonderful but small group that meet last Thursday night for Bookshare at Maryann Stevens' home. Afterwards we were treated to Maryann's delicious strawberry rhubarb pie. It was absolutely delicious!

THE SECRET WIFE by Gill Paul
Historical novel about Russian aristocracy when they were
all murdered. A portrait of Romanoff life.
ALWAYS BY MY SIDE Edward Grinnan (Editor-in-Chief of
Guideposts magazine). Story of the family dogs, their personalities and how
they related to the family. Well written and believable.
AMERICA’S FIRST DAUGHTER by Stephanie Dray
WEST WITH THE NIGHT by Beryl Markham
BETH HEDENGREN:
THE BRONTE SISTERS on PBS. Gives the life stories of the
three sisters who wrote Wuthering Heights and Jane eyre. (Emily, Charlotte and
Anne).
THE TENANT OF WILDFELL HALL by Anne Bronte. Story told in
letters about a young widow arriving at Wildfell Hall and gentleman farmer who
lives in the area and their relationship.
BLOOD ROSE REBELLION by Rosalind Eves. First book of a
trilogy takes place in Victorian era in Hungary.

COURTING CARRIE IN WONDERLAND by Carla Kelly
Historical novel that takes place in 1902 in Yellowstone
Park (first called Wonderland) and gives the early history of the park and how
it was developed.
THE BEGINNING OF BETTER DAYS – Divine Instruction to Women
by Sherry Dew and Virginia Pearce
MARYANN STEVENS:
JOSEPH SMITH: ROUGH STONE ROLLING by Richard Lyman Bushman A
Cultural biography of the Prophet Joseph and the story of his personal
conversion. Gives background about revelations in Book of Mormon.
THE TEMPLE EXPERIENCE
by Wendy Ulcrich
HISTORY by National Geographic
GERI CHRSITENSEN
VOICES IN SUMMER by Rosamunde Pilcher
DADDY’S GONE A HUNTING
By Mary Higgins Clark
THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY by Rachel Joyce
A wonderful story of love, regret, sacrifice and renewal. A
very worthwhile book to read—sad in places, but rewarding as a whole.
